| The original building began its existence in the early 1930's. Over the following years, the building was elevated and placed on a new foundation.
In the early 1950's an addition to the front of the building was constructed. The current lobby, two apartments, and the second floor deck utilize this area today. |

| The Russell family is the fourth owners of the property. The move to Wildwood for the Russell family began with the purchase of this building on February 1, 1988.
Since then the Russells have made many changes to the exterior and interior of the building. Their first project was to modernize the lobby area from a cold non-appealing appearance to a comfortable, attractive warm reception area.
At about the same time, they made extensive repairs to the exterior of the building, which included the installation of vinyl siding.
Since acquiring the building the Russells ( unlike many hotel owners in the Wildwoods ) have continously reinvested the income from the hotel in improvements to the hotel. |
